Building 36a
The Wellingon Apartments
The Grade Store is an imposing complex of warehouses originally built around three large quadrangles. Originally constructed in stages between 1806 & 1813, inspired by the great naval storehouses of the previous century, the Grand Store was expensively built in brick dressed with Purbeck stone and supplied the British Army with everything from bootlaces to horse harnesses and entrenching tools.
Building 36a was one of the most recent buildings to be converted by Berkeley Homes. They say it's where "urban chic meets period elegance; the apartments exude everything that's great about cool, contemporary city living, spiced with a generous dash of quirkiness and character".
Exposed brickwork, high ceilings, oak beams & supports, modern contemporary kitchens, stylish bathrooms & original sash windows make this a real winner in our eyes.
With only 12 apartments in the block, every unit in Building 36a offers a generous level of floor space.
At the time of writing, most apartments are "owner occupied" so, price is subject to (limited) availability.
